Jason Kidd’s rotations in Milwaukee can be a mess at the best of times and the point guard position hasn’t been exempt. Delly has really struggled recently to maintain the consistent minutes that he was seeing earlier in the season – over the last four games, he has played no more that 20 minutes after averaging 26.5 pre all-star break.
This has contributed to a dismal performance in the past seven games particularly. Delly has only cleared this line 1/7 and has averaged just 4.4ppg.
Early on in the season the Celtics and Isaiah Thomas particularly were a wreck guarding point guards. However, over the past month, coinciding with Avery Bradley’s return, Boston has become one of the better defensive backcourt units in the league. Delly will likely see a lot of Marcus Smart, a bulldog on the defensive end, who should lock down the Bucks point guard.
