One of the last remaining Sixers from the early days of Sam Hinkie’s Process, Robert Covington had worked his way into becoming one of the best 3&D wings in the league. His tenure in Philly ended though as he was one of the critical pieces in the Jimmy Butler trade, sending BobCov to Minnesota.
Filling a big void on the wing for the Wolves, Covington came in and got the classic Tom Thibideau treatment in his first game playing 41 minutes. We expect this trend to continue with Covington likely to see career highs in minutes and shots. Despite the Grizzlies playing at the slowest pace in the league we see this line as way too low and Covington should clear easily.
